Arriving in Style

Needless to say it took a long time to get over here...My flight out of Minneapolis to Amsterdam took about 8 hours then a two hour layover then a hour and a half flight to Edinburgh. Waking up at 6:30 am the morning of traveling probably wasn't my smartest idea because I did zero sleeping on the flights and they tell you not to take a nap so you can adjust to the time zone change (which is 6 hours) So I went about 40 straight hours with no sleep...but it was definitely worth it!!

We really did arrive in style when we pulled up to the palace we are staying at, Dalkieth House, and it is beautiful! There is so much history with many original pieces still here, its own church, and located on 1,000 acres of land with great scenery. Dalkieth is also the city we are staying in and its lovely. I love the all the old buildings and a lot of buildings have red doors. We got to explore and eat dinner together in the city and then all came back and finally slept for the day ahead. Here are some pictures of Dalkieth, the Palace, and other random shots after arriving.
